About Phyllis

Nearly thirty years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with severe gluten sensitivity. At that time, gluten-free products were almost nonexistent, and awareness of gluten intolerance was minimal. I’ll never forget the day the doctor shared the diagnosis. My daughter, with tears in her eyes, asked me, “Does that mean I’ll never eat a brownie again?” That single moment became a turning point in my life.

Determined to make a difference, I committed myself to ensuring my daughter—and anyone else living with gluten sensitivity—could enjoy their favorite foods without compromising taste, texture, or affordability. Drawing on my background in experimental foods, I developed recipes that could transform five simple flours, purchased economically in bulk or online, into delicious creations that rival traditional baked goods.

Fast forward to today, the gluten-free market has grown exponentially, with more products on store shelves than ever before. Yet despite this progress, many of these products are outrageously priced, dry, gritty, or lacking in flavor. It frustrates me to see families paying exorbitant prices for subpar goods. Manufacturers often prioritize profit over quality, leaving consumers with limited options and few alternatives.

At Inspired Gluten Free, I’m here to change that. My mission is to make gluten-free living accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for everyone. Through my cookbook, “A Taste To Remember” and eBooks, I share recipes that are perfect for any occasion and budget. My instructional videos are designed to guide first-time chefs, while my blog tackles social issues and provides practical tips for navigating the gluten-free lifestyle.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or disappointed by gluten-free cooking, I’m here to help. Whether you’re tackling one of my recipes or have a question about gluten-free living, I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can create delicious meals so everyone can delight in every bite.

From my kitchen to yours,
Phyllis
